Sommerkunstaktion Kunstkontakter im RAUM FÜR ZWECKFREIHEIT

 

Since three years Konstantin Schneider swirls around as the "BERLINER KUNSTKONTAKTER" on vernissages and art fairs around the globe. In pin stripes or casual, but always with his trademark, the yellow helmet with the mounted camera on top.

In May 2009 he conquered New York together with the photographer Jan Sobottka and presented a cross section of his filmwork at the German consulat general including his interviews with artists, gallerists and personalities of the Berlin art scene.

In June the unique art spotter and "most popular blogger of the German capital" (db artmag) was presented by the association of Berlin galleries (Landesverbandes Berliner Galerien / LVBG) at the Berlin Lounge at SCPOE Art Basel Art Show.

For the first time now, a small retrospective of the films by the BERLINER KUNSTKONTAKTER are presented in Berlin. The videos are accompanied by photographes which document his special performative appearance: the exhibition of the Kunstkontakter Edition I & II, with partly unreleased photographs by Thorsten Solin and Jan Sobottka, realized between April and June in Berlin, Brussels, Vienna, Manhattan, Brooklyn and Basel. And following the KUNSTKONTAKTER: "It will be possible to buy the art and take it away immediately."

In addition a special KUNSTKONTAKTER performance will be realized.

Drinks and snacks are provided, the bar is open.
