ARTMONEY : Agenda2010 - Auction 08/08/08 Friday, 8.8.2008, 8 pm	deutsch
The RAUM FÜR ZWECKFREIHEIT and the group Agenda2010 are pleased to invite to the Artmoney Night: Auction 08/08/08 Agenda2010 shows paintings and poster art that will be for auction. One Million Dollar Project, 2008 ninety-two paintings, each 100x80 cm silk-screen printing, oil, acrylic and pencil on paper Visits for the exhibition and the event are welcome from 8 pm, the auction will start at 9 pm. Supper will be served, the bar will be open.
The artist group Agenda2010 works with specifically established art money that will specify this night: "Auctions have ever since taken the pulse of the art market. They produce the true values, sharpen artists’ and traders’ names. They are the dream factory and show case at the same time, connect the real and the virtual. They are - to cut a long story short - the utopic space in the world of art. Would there be any better background for an artistic examination of money? In order to challenge the art market, none of the pieces provided was ever sold before. The group Agenda2010 puts up the question on art and exchange value with their own art in this exceptionally way." Agenda2010 is a berlin-based art collective, formed by Daniel Freymüller (D), RitaGT (P) and Francisco Vidal (P). Working on the topic of new economics, Agenda2010 focusses the communicative aspects of everyday business and the aesthetics of money. The work of Agenda2010 combines painting, drawing and graphic art with literature and public art. Agenda2010 is not bound to a fix place. The presentation of their work contains performance and club program in order to break the borders between art and entertainment.
